Breakfast, a mile and whales this morning! Barbara and I sat out for a while after our mile and somebody spotted whale spouts. I saw quite a few spouts but nothing else, Barb saw a whale back. Battle of the Sexes and the men are still ahead but the women are catching up fast. They’ve introduced a bonus round which is awful. They just pluck a number out of mid air as the number of points for each bonus question. Yesterday was logos and so easy. Today was romantic songs. One of the men’s was a song by Aerosmith which no one in the room knew and had the least romantic intro ever. Bar none. Not surprisingly the women scored more than the hombres on that round.

It was Burns night tonight and also our fifth formal night. Luke joined us. The quiz in Champions was a Scottish quiz. Liam (slug boy because of his awful hair cut) is a dire, condescending quiz master and tonight Andy wasn’t much better. Not surprisingly, we didn’t win.

Off to the Syndicate Quiz. Horror of horrors, Liam was quizmaster again. There was a tie break between tables 22 and 50. 22 won. It’s only the second time we’ve won a tie break question in all of our cruises. It was also the first bottle of wine we’ve won on this cruise. Finally! Phew!
