The weather is definitely getting cooler. The sea state is choppy and we’ve been bouncing through it like a spring lamb. I hope it calms down for the Falklands as it’s a tender port and the one we’re most likely to miss because of the wind and waves.
First thing this morning Barbara and I hit the laundrette on our way to breakfast. While my clothes were drying I knocked out my web pages for Uruguay. I was hoping to upload the first part of the cruise sometime after San Antonio but I forgot to copy a couple of gif’s from my desktop to my laptop, so that ain’t gonna happen!
Barbara’s not too well again and apart from lunch spent the day in the cabin. I went to Battle of the Sexes and the men are still winning. Shannon, the thick Irish entertainment girl, left the ship in Montevideo and was replaced by Caroline, who I’ve met before on Ventura. It was nice to have a professional running the quiz!
After lunch I read a bit in Anderson’s, then on my way to the Crystal Pool, where the roof is now closed, I passed a couple of hardy (stupid?) sunbathers by the Riviera Pool. It was toasty and warm by the Crystal Pool.
Rob and I had a martini each in Anderson’s both before and after dinner. We all took part in the sports quiz in Champion’s and scored a creditable 16/20. Yesterday, Barbara and I met a guy called Vince Michael at the Riviera Bar. He was tonight’s singer, so we all went to see him in the theatre. He wasn’t very good.
