Today I woke up early and made my way back to Chardonne in the car to pick my parents up from the Bed and Breakfast. Today we started the day with a morning walk through the village of Zeneggan. Once again it was looking like a beautiful sunny day with the having already quietly made its apearance. We were back at the hotel to sit out on the patio in the sun and have our swiss buffet style breakfast. This time around we took the sightseeing approach rather than actually hike up or down. Big day. The woman we are staying with, Frida, had hooked me up with one of her friends who owns a vinyard. The fete des vendanges is the Geneva festival of the vinyards. We had heard about it from the woman we are staying with and were eager to see what it was all about. The festival was held in a small town of 400 ppl outside of Geneva called Russin. For this one weekend a year, the town of 400 welcomes thousands of people to drink their wines, eat their food and celebrate the grape harvest.
