Today we started by playing cards and digging in the dirt. Later on we went for a drive to Cable Beach - we actually drove onto the beach! There were lots of cars and there was also lots of shells on the sand. We dipped our feet in the water, it was cold but not freezing. The water was the bluest I've ever seen.
After that, we went to a light house at Gantheaume Point. At low tide you can see real dinosaur footprints in the rocks. We also saw lots of Humpback whales playing in the water. Some jumping right out of the water and sometimes just a fin coming out. Amongst the whales we could see a mother and her calf. I also saw a turtle.
Then we went to an old jetty. It was made from old wooden sleepers. It was surrounded by tall mangrove trees and pale blue water. To get there we walked through town and saw a lot of pearl shops.
We saw an old pearl lugger and there was also some old style diving gear.
We had an ice-cream while we were down the street.
At sunset we went to a market on the Broome Beachfront.
