After a fairly tense time getting to Wolfe Creek and setting up in the dark, we woke up to quite a lovely place surrounded by lovely grass plains.
We visited Wolfe Creek Crater -it was created by a metoerite that hit the ground about 300,000 years ago. The crater is about 850m wide and was originally approx 120m deep (but over time has filled and is now approx 20m deep). Down in the crater we could see lots of trees and grass.
