no its raining !!!!!!!,
after leaving Noosa we headed for Rainbow beach, a little town where the sand has a rainbow affect when the light beats off it, we only spent 2 days here just to check this theory out, we stayed at Dingo's backpackers, there is about 3-4 hostels right next door to each other offering the same deals i think ?, we payed about 18-20 bucks a night, so things to do in Rianbow are diving the famous wolf-rock where grey nurse sharks are chilling out, what a great dive that would be, we aint got our open water diving tickets yet but gonna work on it up the coast, so we decided to do a surf & sand safari which is a full day out on the beach and cruising about the bay in a bus/boat machine, this thing was cool as!!!!!, we where picked up at 10am then dropped at the beach waiting for our LARK to arrive, its a funky machine what the military used years ago and aventually flogged them to tour operators for trips etc, on we popped where the crew, a little lady with a mic, the little driver in the front, the lady explained about the coloured sand and all the minerals around us, then we headed into sea where she was to drop the boom-net for us to chill in the water, considering it was pretty nippy we all had a paddle around for a few mins, we then headed for honeymoon cove for some tucca then for the lighthouse, the views where amazing, you can see Fraser from here plus as far as the eye can see up the beach, from there we headed for home at about 3-4pm, the crew made the day for sure, the weather was pants but the staff where cool, we had about 15 on the bus ranging from little old lady's to a few young guns, the day was fun, oh yeah we got to see the Carlos sand-blow on Rainbow beach which we walked the previous day, it was a right trek, but again stunning views, i have to do some fitness for sure !!!!.
So that was our short stay at Rainbow, its a chilled out place for a few days, the locals are really nice to chat to and helpful, i attempted to get a nights refund at Dingo's but the staff aint to helpful like many many other hostels iv found on the east coast !!!!!, im glad we stayed anyway for the beach safari, so hopefully the weather will be nice for Fraser or i'll be gutted !!!.
