What should have been the 5th day of the test turned out to be one of the best days we've had. Firstly we were told that Ian Bell, Matt Prior and Joe Root were in subway down the road so we wandered down to say hi. Then we went to the lagoon in the afternoon with Graham and Rob lads from our room and we ended up buying a cricket set which we used firstly in the water and then set a proper game at the park. We played for 3 hours which was great fun. After having a beer overlooking the lagoon and the Brisbane skyline we came across Nathan Lyon being interviewed for Fox News. We spoke to him for a bit had some photos. Made our back to the hostel after what we thought would be the end of a good day. Rich and Adam went down for the quick beer only to come up saying they were dancing with Broad and Swanny. So the whole room rushed down stairs to get involved. Ended up singing and dancing and drinking with them including Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Gary Ballance until the close. Highlight was beating Stokes at a downing race 3 times on the bounce. They were all quality lads especially Swanny who was smashed. Most incredible night!
