Early rise for white water rafting today. We got picked up from our hostel and arrived at the Tully river about an hour later. We got put into groups and we put on your life jacket and helmet. I volunteered along with Adam to be in the lead positions in the raft which meant setting the pace of the rowing. During the first few rapids we went over some basic skills we were going to need for the big rapids later on. All move left, all move right, hold on etc. There was a few close calls along the way but no one in our boat fell out when we weren't supposed to. Near the end there was a large rock which we could jump off which I showed off with some backflips.
Overall the trip exceeded my expectations. Very enjoyable day.
