Arriving in Brisbane the day before the ashes there was a great atmosphere around the place. We couldn't check in for another 4 hours when we arrived so we went to the Gabba for a trial run for the next day. 10 minutes on the bus. Easy as you like. Dropped the camper van off and checked into our apartment which turned out to be very posh. First night there we stayed in, made cottage pie which was delicious and watched a film. Second day we went to the Australia zoo. We arrived at about 1pm which meant we missed the main show however we did see another crocodile feed later in the day.
