We had such a lovely lunch yesterday that we decide to take a day off here and eat at the same restaurant this evening.
For most of the day we relax, read up about future destinations and catch up with emails and other internet bits then at 16:30 we wander into town and amble around the harbour and seafront again until the restaurant opens.
Tonight we have caprese [tomato, mozarella and herbs] then pasta dishes. It's all excellent with the same friendly service and still 22C as we sit outside into dusk. What was a sleepy little place by day has come alive with bars open, kids playing ball games and terraces all lit up. The 'passeggiata' have come out; people out for the nightly 'parade'. There are also scores of swallows swooping around.
We return to the aire and have a good chat with Toni then go in to finish the wine we brought back from the restaurant while we have a chat with Nick and Grete on the phone.
The only bad thing of the day; As we do some route plans, Snoopy gets knocked off the table and smashes his screen against the seat runner. Having cursed his directions and route plans many times over 30000 or more miles Nick is really quite sad he is no longer working. Luckily we have the Garmin one as a back up.
