We wake to sunshine with the trees behind us lit up in beautiful colours.
Although the air is crisp the sun is lovely and warm, cheering us no end.
At 10:30 we go into the motor museum, which is only €3 entry. Inside are over 150 motorcycles, scooters and motorcycle derived transport dating between the 1920s and 70s. Nearly every exhibit is in 'factory' condition, beautifully turned out with many information boards in English. There are unusual - to us - makes like Osso and Bultaco as well as more familiar brands like BSA and Ducatti.
After the museum we go for lunch in the restaurant, passing the flaming wood fired grill on the way.
The set menu is €19/head including a bottle of wine between us. There is a appetizer of jacket potato slices with aioli and guacamole; entrada of soups, salad or grilled aubergine, mains of meat from the grill, pork slices with lemon and chips [it seems lemon with everything here] and a choice of deserts and ice creams.
After lunch we drive the remaining 4 miles up the snaking winding road to Castella d'Guadalest, a tiny town with small buildings perched on rock pillars. Unfortunately the car-park barrier is faulty so we can only stop briefly for a few photos.
Then it' a 60 mile cruise down the autoroute past Benidorm and Alacante to our site for the night at Crevillente.

Chris So Spain not too different from France then - most things closed on the day you want them. As to the proliferation of citrus, have you read Driving Over Lemons by Chris Stewart, on moving to live in Spain. Good book. Brilliant blog, and fantastic photos. Love it. Big hugs, guys xxxxxx
