A great nights camping and I'm up for checking out the Killarney Provincial Park and its well touted Crack hike. Before heading into the park I grab lunch at the small town of Killarney and some camping food at the general store. I sort out a backcountry campsite at the park office and head off to the start of the trail. Dusting off my pack I load up some stuff for the night and cover the bike. An hour and a half hike brings me to The Crack and a steep climb up and over the small mountain to the lakeside. The scenery is breathtaking and having on a large pack I'm slowed to appreciate it. Another hour and a half from The Crack I find my site for the night. Lakeside. I make camp and get a fire sorted. It's midnight when I get to bed after almost drowning in the beauty of this place.
