Another early start and I walk to the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill. After some terrorist treatment I get to ride to the top of the tower for a great view over the city. Back on the ground I walk along the Rideau Canal to the Natural History Museum. I am now museumed-out. Its raining when i grab lunch in the city but i make the walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. Ottawa has to be the quietest city I've ever visited, its almost silent. I get an early start and head through Parliament Hill and across the bridge to Hull where The Museum of Civilization is located. I spend most of the morning in Quebec before walking along the northern bank of the St Lawrence River and back into Ontario to visit The Canadian War Museum. It's been a humid day and a thunder storm breaks out just as I get back to the Hostel.

I say goodbye to Anne and Regan and prepare to brave Toronto's traffic. It's not as bad as I had anticipated and in not much time I'm blasting on the freeway east. Shortly after getting out of the city I jump on the apple route which runs along the northern shore of Lake Ontario. I cross over on to Prince Edward Island and then continue heading north east through the Thousand Islands. This is a beautiful drive. I get in to Ottawa around 7pm.
