Day 47. Glenwood Springs. We started off the day by topping up the oil in Jane's bike as it had dropped below the minimum level. Unfortunately the oil we used refused to mix with the synthetic stuff that was in the bike and you could see the resulting froth through the sight glass. Day 46. Grand Junction, Colorado. It's been a day of canyons and dramatic red rock (sandstone) scenery. First activity was to ride the 30 miles back up to Dead Horse Point State Park - this time without the thunderstorms. Dead Horse Point Overlook is the most photographed vista in the country. Day 45. Moab, Utah. Up early again today for the Colorado river trip by jet boat. Scenery was stunning and it was a really good opportunity to see the Canyonlands National Park from a different perspective. Day 44. Moab, Utah. Another 06:00 start today, for our trip to Arches National Park - home to over 2000 natural sandstone arches. The early start was partly to miss the crowds and partly to avoid the heat. We got to the entrance at 07:30, to find that quite a few other people had had the same idea. The zip on one boot has broken but unfortunately all the shops in the area specialise in off road equipment! So we're still trying to think of a solution.
