Day 3. Washington DC, Virginia.Today was a bit more holiday-like and relaxing. A bike tour of Washington DC's monuments, followed by a meal at one of the posh restaurants (Ebbritts Grill) near the White House. Day 2. Reston, Virginia.What a day! Spent over 5 hours at the airport, collecting our bikes. This included over 1.5 hours at the US Customs Office convincing the Customs Officer that we didn't need to pay $600 each for a Temporary Import Bond, and about 2 hours unpacking the bikes from the crates in 31 degrees heat. Day 1. Heathrow, London We're on our way... Combined luggage weight = 19.4kg. Hope it all fits into the panniers. Hope we've got enough. One of us got upgraded to business class. Guess who!

Our bikes have arrived at Dulles Airport, Washington DC! We're busy packing and will follow tomorrow...
