Day 57. West Yellowstone, Montana. A day of geysers today. We travelled to the Upper, Middle, and Lower Geyser Basins and saw a lot of geyser action. Some geysers set off every few minutes whilst others may only go once or twice a week. Some of them explode only every few years. Day 56. West Yellowstone, Montana. Spent the afternoon at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Centre - a home for 'problem' (ASBO) bears, where they get the bears to test bear-proof containers.

Day 55. West Yellowstone, Montana.Another cold day today and snow on the roads, so ....... we've swapped vehicles! We now have a Chrysler 300C from Hertz for the sojourn around Yellowstone. Day 54. Cody, Wyoming. It was a bit of an effort to get going this morning as it was only 4 degrees outside (and stayed that temperature for most of the day). Our mesh motorcycle clothing has been great in the hot weather, but isn't really suitable for cold temperatures. Jane's solution - wear as many layers as possible. Day 53. Thermopolis, Wyoming. A bit of a cold and wet day today during our 180 miles to Thermopolis. Temperature got down to 4 degrees and the wind and rain forced us to take shelter in an out of the way place in the middle of nowhere. Definitely a locals pub and we got a frosty reception but it was so cold we ignored it and insisted on coffee.
