This is a deep canyon, located about 30 miles from Santa Fe, made from soft volcanic rock called Tuff. Day 33. Santa Fe, New Mexico.Spent the day in Santa Fe today. Visited the farmers market and shops this morning. Santa Fe is a very vibrant place with a large artist community and some very historical looking adobe buildings (made from earth and straw, and often a bright red colour). Day 32. Santa Fe, New Mexico.Longest distance so far today, at 290 miles, bringing us to more than 3900 miles in total. However, we've now crossed the Plains and made it to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the Rockies.
