I emerged from my tent to discover that I am neighbours with one of the characters from last night (blog picture). We said the customary "G'day" and had a quick chat about last night. Minutes later Dave came back with some beers "I am not going to take no for an answer" and handed me and Liz (who had literally stuck her head out of the tent for the first time) a beer.

Dave or as he is commonly called 'Bushy Dave' had spent six years cycling around and then through Australia - so he had a few tales to tell. He is 66 years old, as Aussie as is possible and signed off work on medical reasons. The nickname Bushy Dave comes from his large white beared but it could also apply to him spending a lot of time in the bush. He is one of Australias great characters - Australia at last!

The day was simple but sereal, walk 50 meters to the pub, drink and chat, walk 10 meters to the market to try and get some very highly recommended scones followed by more drinking and playing some pool. Dave who was going to spend a night at the campsite had been here 5 days - "this is a piece of heaven" as he put a ice cold beer to his mouth.
