Writing this at 4am in Paris on 29th - slept since 7pm last night. Keyboqrd is in French layout so it taking a long time to type.
Arrived in London around 7am. Clean, green and felt like home except with great character buildings. Checked in early to a "smoking room" but it ok, had shower which was great. Walked to St Pancras. During the flight over Debbie developed a sty in her eye and cold sore on nose, we expect from the lack of sleep and being a bit run down, got some medication at St Pancras and it is under control now (In Paris - two days later!). Caused quite some discomfort for her and worried me.
Bought some lunch, found laundromat and did washing. Had lunch in Judd St green space while we waited for washing to finish. While it was drying wrote first lot of post cards we got in NY, couldn`t do them in the plane as to stuffed. Then back to hotel and slept for 3-4hrs. Jane Everett came to see us, went to pub and had first English pint, "London Glory" - not bad but not cold. Then Colin arrived once he finished work, they took us to an Italian restaurant, had nice meal with them and a very pleasant red wine. Great to see them and they were in good spirits, although they paid for dinner which was a bit naughty, look forward to them coming to ours so we can return the favour. Got black cab home. I lay down and immediately fell asleep, which seems to be a recurring theme of our trip, Debbie isn`t wired the same so she is awake until a more reasonable hour. We both had good nights sleep.
