Went to Schonbrunn again via a very clean and efficient Metro system. Had a tour of stunning gardens on the mini "train of shame" - was quickest way to do it. Went to Strudel show had taster. Then into town and met Paul and Fiona, Went to Demel (lovely cake shop) and visited real flash underground toilets. Then out to Prata - oldest amusement park in the world, very noisy and busy.

Left Salzburg at 9.30 short drive to Mondsee, a traditional Austrian village. Went to church where Maria Von Trapp got married (sound of music). Walked to lake and hired electric boat and had 30min cruise, beautiful area. Drove to Vienna, on way had short stop at Schonbrunn Palace for a peek on way to hotel. Then found internet cafe for a catch up on mail and blogs. Bought some gifts for our fabuluous tour guide and driver Susan and Kevin. Then met crew for last ...

Travelled from Venice to Salzburg. Nice to get into cooler temp, about 20°C. Had our first service stop at a Rosenburger, better food and service, more like what we have at home. Had some real meat. Got to Salzburg by mid arvo, went and did some laundry and internet. Met at hotel and went for group meal at a Austrian Pub, very noisy and beer was acquired taste, food was great, very salty and lots of it. Had a drink in the garden afterwards then walked home.
