Back on the bus at 8am, Mark still not well, through the lowland hills, through the Lakes district (quite different to our Lakes district) popular area for hiking, walking and camping holidays. Stopped for lunch at Gretna green, lovely little place. Stopped at Grasmere (some familiarity with names between here and home) home of poet William Wodsworth, arrived in Chester much later than anticipated due to traffic accident had to detour through Liverpool. Mark went onto hotel with the bus and I went with the group to look around the city of Chester, went to see the Roman ruins and ampitheatre and gardens. Very tudor style town with the famous 'two-tiered' shopping arcades called 'Rows'. Got back to hotel at 6pm had group dinner at 7pm very nice meal, Mark frustrated with feeling sick, early night for him, in bed asleep at 9pm.
