Wow Las Vegas. There is no city like it. For a start, it is hot, hot, hot. But also well air-conditioned.
Everything on and around the strip is MASSIVE! It plays tricks on your sense of perspective and makes you think things are nearer than they are, thus making you walk lots.
The hotels/casinos are works of art. Yesterday I went to New York, Egypt, China, Medieval England, Paris, Ancient Rome, Paris, the tropics, Venice, Monte Carlo all in one street.
Now the big news is that I beat the Casino! I put in my dollar in a Caesar's Palace slot machine, pressed the button a couple of times and WON! $1.25!!!! Then I stopped - gotta quit while you're ahead y'know.
Later watched the incredible Bellagio fountains doing their thing and the Mirage's volcano. On realising that we had walked the entire length of the strip we jumped on the night bus to ferry us home.
Lazy start today. Went to Panda Express for lunch then an afternoon drink at House of Blues. Slowing down a bit as picking up a car tomorrow.
Pen, it may surprise you that I am still unmarried after 3 days in Vegas. What may surprise you more is that I have not been to any all-you-can-eat 24 hour buffets! Shocking!
