We're finding it much harder to get up in the mornings at the mo so don't end up getting out until late on! This morning we went over to the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) as they conduct tours which you can go on! The tour was about 1 hour 15mins long and we saw just about every part of the building!! We got to go in all the posh behind the scene bits, including the long room, where only people who pay silly money get to go! We saw where the press sit in their rooms, posh bars, the changing rooms, corporate boxes and of course, out on the pitch! Its an impressive stadium, especially in comparison to the Dons stadium!! Tis HUGE, bigger than Wembley!!
We enjoyed coffee in the bar while Mark got to watch football on the tv!
As we are travelers we got to go in the museum downstairs for free! It too was huge and there was so much to see! We had a mooch around most of it with the aid of a guided tour thing that you listen to on a tape! We learned all about the Olympics, AFL, cricket etc! There was a physical area where they had lots of activities which you could have a go at! Mark was very happy as he got to kick a football about and came out with a huge grin on his face! I managed to beat him at netball and at archery, but then he equaled my score! It was a brilliant museum and we ended spending far too long there! We finished it off by watching a cool hologram thing of Shane Warne!
We then wandered back through town along the river and back to the hostel for an evening of updating the blog!
