We overslept a tad and woke to a very dull day! We made our way down to Wellington but experienced some terrible weather along the way! It was very wet and windy, especially when we got closer to Wellington. We went to visit Julie and Tony who are Marks relatives. They had such a lovely house and were very welcoming. We had lunch and chatted for a while before Tony offered to take us into town. We went to the Te Papa museum which was very interesting. We liked the moving forces section about earthquakes. In Wellington they experience an earthquake every 3-4 months! There have been 3 earthquakes in New Zealand since we have been here but non near to us! We mooched around the town and the shops but it was still pouring with rain and very miserable! We walked along the harbour before heading back. We had a very yummy roast lamb dinner and watched the tennis (Murray and Federer) until late. We had such a lovely room with ensuite and a huge bed which made such a change to Newt! The views from the house we lovely as they looked across the harbour! If only we could stay longer!
