I was woken by a very kind mozzie who thought that I should be up so he insisted on buzzing around me! GRRR!
We had a lovely breakfast and then grabbed sun loungers for the day. As the island is so close to the mainland they have a lot of day visitors, sometimes up to 100 which is a lot for such a small island!!
Once we had claimed our space we went and found a kayak and headed out on it! Neither of us have done it before so it was very amusing! It was quite easy in fact and we went quite far out! Was cool to just sit and float in the middle of the ocean!! Mark made me sit in front of him to make sure that I was paddling! We got around the island quite quickly, with it being so small, and headed back to chill! We had collected snorkelling stuff too so we went for a mooch in the sea! The fish came right up to the edge of the water so they were practically on the beach! We saw some very grumpy looking fish and some very pretty colourful ones! One had the cheek to bite me!!
We chilled some more and then had a very yummy lunch and watched more Fijian dancing! After lunch we chilled, snorkelled and kayaked some more until we spotted the yellow boat on the horizon! We thought it was too early but thought we ought to get ready just in case! God job as well as it was running early and we would have missed it otherwise! We met Steph and Julian on board which was nice as we could catch up on the past few days events! It started to rain just as we left the island. We had a courtesy bus to our hotel/hostel which was lovely! We had a lovely room, with air con and hundreds of resident mozzies! We had a lovely dinner in the bar to finish off a lovely week! They even provided complimentary bug spray!
