We spent the morning travelling further into the Grampians to various scenic spots. We went to two lookouts along the same road which were lovely, but we've seen better! We went to another scenic lookout along a track called the Balconies which looks out across the valley. The original Balcony was between two bits of rock sticking out and you stood in the middle but since part of the top broke away, they have built platform for you to stand on at the side. While walking along the track we passed a lad who looked very familiar, after some thought we realised that he was our room mate in Melbourne!! What a coincidence!
Next stop was to see more waterfalls! We followed the steep track down to them which was covered in water from the falls. It was a cool track down, just didn't think the same on the way up! The falls were impressive, lots of fast flowing water, just how we like them!!
We then had to hit the road as we had to get back to Melbourne to return the car and get to the airport! We made a quick stop for grub in Ballarat along the way and made it back to Melbourne in good time, considering it was rush hour! Mark dropped me at the train station with all our bags while he returned the car! We then got the airport bus to the airport, just a tad too early as our check in desk hadn't even opened, and wasn't due to for a couple more hours!! We indulged in our last MCD's for a week and Mark called home. After check in I got to call my big sister! We had a phone card with plenty of minutes on so made sure we got our money's worth!
We finally boarded our flight at 11pm.
