We made it to breakfast, wahoo!!
We were being collected by the big yellow boat at 12.30 to go to another island so we spent the morning chillaxing again! It was lovely weather, and considering we had heard about how humid it is here, we haven't experienced it yet!
We had lunch and the staff sang goodbye to us and lined up on the beach to say goodbye, including one of the toddlers! We boarded the little boat again and had yet another fast boat ride back to the big yellow boat! A few of the people who we had met at Coral View were coming to the next island with us which was nice! It was only about 1 hr 30mins on the big boat this time! As we arrived at the island it looked lovely and we were very excited! As the tide was out the small boat had to stop further out from the beach so we had a slippery path to walk along to the beach! Our Aussie friend from Coral View slipped and cut her knee so one of the lads had to come and carry her over!
We had another warm welcome at Korovu, including the young children, and we were given flowers to wear behind our ears, like the Fijians do, even the men! Mark was impressed! We had another nice dorm, but poor showers! It was a 32 bed dorm this time, but luckily it wasn't anywhere near full! They are very basic but comfortable, but its nice to live like the Fijians do, although I'm sure they provide better facilities for us than they do themselves!
This resort has a pool and a lovely beach with hammocks overlooking the beach and amongst the palm trees.
We still had plenty of the afternoon so we spent it chilling in the hammocks. We were very impressed with the dinner as there was soup for starters and spag bol with cheese for mains! YUM!
We spent the evening out on the decking overlooking the beach, playing cards, well I was playing, Mark was cheating! The resort put on entertainment, 4 of the young lads, in their traditional dress demonstrated how they dance in Fiji. They were very very good and very confident too! They were very cool yet so young, very surprising! Some of them were fire dancers and put on an amazing dance, including eating the fire!
We spent the rest of the evening in a hammock listening to the waves and the music!
