It's been about 23 years since Deb and I first visited Quebec City. We were much younger and so much in love.  I'm glad to see that the city has had the same effect on both of us yet again.  It's really been a walk down memory lange.  And as a result, we have have fallen for each other all over again.

It's an amazing part of Europe right here in Canada. Everything is just so continental.  We decided to leave the SUV parked in the hotel parking lot and took a shuttle bus down to the old town. From there we jumped on a Hop-On / Hop-Off bus that took us on a 1h 45m tour of both the old town and surrounding area.  Again under amazing weather we were able to re-acquaint ourselves with Quebec City.

Most of you know me as a shy, conservative type but I still managed to meet people from all over the world - on our shuttle, on our tour bus and even waiting line to get the shuttle home. We had a reasonable lunch at a restaurant in old town and then took the funicular back to the top of the hill for just a little window shopping. We had to stop for the obligatory cup of gelato/ice cream - oh it filled the spot.

Then the winds came up with a cold front just after we watched the docking of the Celebrity Spirit pull up against the pier, which of course brought another 2000+ people into the equation. Things got busy and we decided to catch the first bus out of town to our hotel. Things are a little sketchy as to exactly what our destination will be for tomorrow with most the recent hurricane activity from Irma that seems to be heading up the east coast - it just might change our travel plans as to the actual route we take. So tomorrow, we'll update you from either Bar Harbour, Massachusetts or Fredricton, New Brunswick.
