Months and months I have been looking forward, saving money and bit by bit my trip to Australia 2014 got its shape. And now it's over, in a couple of hours I am in the plane back home. The very long flight form 14 hours and 45 minutes to Abu Dhabi, followed by the plane to Amsterdam. I am supposed to arrive in our capital city tuesday afternoon at 14.00 local time. Last year I had troubles going back to normal life, but this time I m actually looking forward to go home.
Of course, I'd love to see much more here, I haven't seen enough of New Zealand yet, I still want to see the cities of Adelaide and Perth, I'd love to see a bit more on the eastcoast (Bundaberg for example, to see how the rum is made, or Rockhampton, what they see as the beef city), more in the red hot center and did I ever mention Tasmania or Fraser Island? I think there's enough to see and do to keep me busy for the rest of my life haha.
One quarter of my 2014 mission is done, so three more things to go, Yep you know, the mission of all Grand Slams in one year. This means that my next saving goal will be New York. I haven't figured out yet what I exactly want, except for the first week at Flushing Meadows and a visit to the tennishall of fame in Newport. Looking forward to start planning this trip. I can always do some investigation already, before I have to book the flight and the accomodation. Only thinking of this makes me excited, so that's good to keep smiling. ;)
For now you still get some pics from this Australia trip, but like I wrote, I can't access my pictures on my waterproof camera, this has to wait for a couple of days. I just hope that Etihad has some good movies in their list for tonight. I slept very bad last night, probably because I am restless due to nerves for the order of Play in Rotterdam. I've got more than a day travelling to go, and I am very nervous that I might miss one of the matches I don't wanna miss. I once was called his lucky charm by Nico Mahut, but to be the lucky charm in Rotterdam, I have to be at those matches of course. :)
So, I'll say goodbye from Sydney airport. I'll update my tennisblogs for a bit and I have a book of 700 pages, in which I have only read 140 pages today, so still lots more to read. Hopefully I have it finished when I reach Ahoy tomorrow afternoon, let's try! :)
See ya later, my friends!
