I promised you a more informative day so here goes.

We got up really early this morning as we both had a terrible nights sleep especially Mel who does not have the luxury of being deaf and not being able to hear the outside noise!!!!

This is probably the worst hostel we have stayed in I think we are both officially old, its full of young kids and the place is not the cleanest. We have had a good run so far and luckily we are only here 2 nights.

Anyway we took the Seabus and then a bus to the Capilano Suspension Bridge today,we had looked at this while back in the UK and both thought it would be a good day out.

We arrived early and the weather was glorious there was several things to do on the complex including looking at totem poles and an interactive type show but we were here for the bridge and the Treetop adventure.

I took my first step on the bridge and it was a little shaky and there was 450ft lined out in front of us,as well as a 260ft drop to the canyon below and the raging water passing underneath us.Once we were in the middle the views were stunning but we pressed on to get to the Treetop adventure. This part was amazing you were 30 metres above the forest looking out at the canopy and nature passing by. We also took a walk to Cliffhanger Lookout (self explanatory) and several other trails around the forest before the heavens opened it was our first rain in nearly 3 weeks!!!!

We decided to skip Grouse Mountain and save it till the weather was better so we headed downtown to the Gastown district to check out the steam clock which chimes on the hour and was recommended by Lou and Ged. We thought it was pretty cool and we timed it just right for the chiming on the hour.

We returned to find our hostel being re-painted and the door of our room open,so we sorted this out and did what we thought was best and hit the bars for a drink and a meal.

Today has been great and we have really enjoyed the attractions we have seen but we will be glad to leave this hostel.
