We had our first lie in for 3 weeks today till 8.50am then I got up so I did not miss the 9am deadline for the free breakfast!!!! Have had a truly tourist day today and visited Grouse Mountain. You need to take the cable car on an 8 minute ride to 4100ft, the visibility was poor and it was cold and snowy on the top but it was a great experience. We started our visit by watching the award winning Lumberjack show where they demonstrate traditional skills as a contest including axe throwing and log rolling it was a great show and really entertaining (with no high heels or womens clothing in site) There was also loads of chainsaw carvings to look at and the real draw was the 2 orphaned Grizzlies that now live on top of the mountain and could not be released back to the wild because they had had too much human contact back when they were rescued. Watched a quick movie on their rescue and how they planned to stop other orphan bears getting shot or eaten by other bears, before returning to a less misty ground level to look at the timberwolves that they have living there in the forest. Came back to downtown for a beer and a chill out.See you tomorrow. Lots of Love M & M xx
