LINDA'S TALES OF TRAVEL AND OTHER CATASTROPHES
We arrived at London Heathrow at the lovely time of 5:45am - not that it mattered much to us as it was a completely different time zone anyway... Will and I were quite delirious upon arrival (especially me as sleeping on transport is something I am yet to master!). Thankfully Will's sister and godmother were there to whisk us away into the English country side. Ok so I am romanticising it a little ;)
Windsor (or Winkfield more specifically) was the ideal place in which to begin my travels of Britain. It fit all of my English stereotypes perfectly: lush green landscape, formal (read: posh) English accents, good English manners and hospitality, narrow winding roads, little footpaths through the fields... oh, and there was a cup of tea quickly prepared for me upon arrival. Fantastic!
