Hi everyone.
I have just finished a week at Trinity College, Dublin. The architecture of some of the buildings in the old part of the College is really impressive. It's funny working at a uni where you are constantly dodging tourists!
I have found Dublin to be very different to what I expected. It is very multicultural with most shop assistants being Eastern European. They don't have the best customer service skills, that's for sure! It is also a really expensive place. We paid 12 Euro for an Irish stew...it's like 80% potato for goodness sake!
I managed to fit in some sightseeing today, taking in sights like: Dublin Castle, St Patrick's Cathedral and Stephen's Green. Obviously there is a lot of history about the place but I didn't have a lot of time to delve into it unfortunately.
We will spend next week working at UCD which will hopefully go better than last week!
