Hi all! I have just spent a week in Edinburgh and it was the most beautiful place - I absolutely loved it there. It is actually quite small (much smaller than Melbourne) which made a nice change from London which apparently now has around 10 million people! I met up with my Scottish friend Dee who showed me around and let me crash at her lovely place for a while. Because she works at the zoo there I also got into lots of stuff for free! I saw Holyrood Palace (former home of Mary Queen of Scots) and Edinburgh Palace, went on a ghost tour and a whisky tour and visited the 'camera obscura' among other things. On Sunday night they had a 45 minute fireworks display coming out of the castle which was so cool. I extended my trip so I could stay and see it. On one of the days I also managed to get to Glasgow which was very industrial but also cool to visit. Anyway running out of internet minutes (and damn it's expensive!) so talk to you all soon :)
