Weather: Sunny, windy and cold

Got up today at 7am to get some free pancakes for breakfast. We were so annoyed though because they stopped serving them by the time we got there even though it was only 7.10!! They did give us some bread for free toast though thankfully so I got to have that with peanut butter yum!!

The girls in our dorm left on their greyhound bus and I went with Laura and Kirsty for a walk into town where I bought the paper I was meant to be in. I was shocked when I opened it and it was a two page spread with a huge picture of me on!! It was so funny and I wondered if people may recognise me since it is Queensland's biggest newspaper.

We went back to the hostel and had some coffee whilst looking through the newspaper. We decided to head to the beach for a little while to see the sand which is meant to be all different colours hence the name Rainbow Beach. It wasn't different colours. Only on the cliffs. We chilled out there for a little while but eventually it got a bit cold because of the wind so we went for a walk. Then the tide came in so we abandoned that idea too.

I made some noodle soup out of the noodles I bought from Malaysia and we then had our introduction meeting for the Fraser Island trip the next day. The man basically told us to stay out of the sea because there are loads of sharks, stay away from Dingos and to not wreck his trucks.

Once that was over we went to the sand dunes which are meant to be awesome for sunrise. It was. And the sand dunes were awesome as well; it looked like snow covering a hill. Although it wasn't as good as the ones in Vietnam which was a shame. Everyone sat and watched the sunrise at the top of the hill and then headed back into town once that was finished.

After going to the supermarket to stock up on lemonade to go with my Martini for Fraser Island and getting some dinner, we went back to the hostel and prepared and ate the dinner. I then got ready for Fraser Island and had my final hot shower for three days L. I had a good pamper and really made the most of it. Then I had a super early night to prepare myself for the major events of the next few days.
