Place: lots of planes - Darwin - Melbourne - Christchurch - Auckland

Weather: Darwin (hot), Melbourne (cold and cloudy), Christchurch (crisp cold and snow on the ground, Auckland (cold and slightly rainy)

Woke up just before landing and then was falling asleep on and off throughout the whole landing process. I was basically straight off that flight and on to the next because I only had around an hour between them. Melbourne is a good airport though because they domestic and international terminals are all joined together.

The next flight was only about 3 hours so I decided to watch Inception on my laptop to pass the time. It fit in the time perfectly and made the flight go really quickly, although I did have an effort to keep myself awake for the whole thing.

It was major bad news when I went through customs at Christchurch though; I wasn't allowed to take my food with me L. There went dinner!! I tried to eat a bit of it whilst he was doing the paper work but then I was hungry at dinner time. Not good! I also wanted Mum and Lauren to be able to try a bit of it.

There was a 4 and a half hour wait between the two flights this time so I tried to get on the internet. I thought I had to buy something from a café to get their wifi which was up but it turned out to be just for their computers after I had already bought a coffee!! Very annoying, what a waste of $4.50 although I probably needed it!

I sat in the café then for a couple of hours writing this blog and eventually the free public internet started working so I got half an hour on that which was good. The flight got delayed by 20 minutes which was annoying and I had run out of things to do since I had no internet and no more films!

That flight was really packed but luckily I think I was the only one with 2 spare seats next to me so I spread out and read for a little bit. There were some annoying people behind me who obviously didn't fly very often because they were commenting on everything!! The flight was super quick and when I landed I just called the hotel who sent the shuttle for me.

At the hotel the man was a right moody ass. I didn't have my credit card on me to check in because I left all of them at home but I had all of the info for it so that was fine. I read him out the number and he tried it once and it was wrong, it turned out he had put 8s instead of 0s. I re read it to him slowly and clearly but he still did it wrong and said that the number wasn't right. I was definitely wrong about it even though I have used the card pretty recently and from that information! I then wrote the number down for him and he said that wasn't the number I gave him!

The hotel room was nice though, it had 4 beds in it but of course I went with the double J. It even had a little separate area with the kettle and sink and a lot of coffee and tea which made me very very happy! I whacked on the heating because it was freezing and just chilled out watching Transporter 2 for a few hours.
