Just driving today. Left just before 10am and stopped off at Murray Bridge for fuel and a bit of shopping. Motored for a while before finding some place to stop for lunch. After a further hour and a bit had to stop as I was getting very tired. Dad drove the rest of the way. Campsite is very small compared to last one and seems to be more where people stay for a while (trailer park). It said there was a pool. What it didn't say was it was the community pool and only open in the summer. Currently empty.
Off to the camp kitchen to cook tea. Our first bbq. Steak, mushrooms, onions and green beans. Very nice.
Spent rest of evening outside talking. Made a change to sit down and chat. About 9 ish a couple drove their bikes under the canopy outside the camp kitchen, as it was starting to rain and we started chatting. Then their friends came too. 11pm we left after swapping numbers with a chance of meeting up on Friday night for a few beers before we hand van back and fly to NZ.
In bed at 11:15pm. Think this is the latest we've been in bed the whole time we have been away. Unfortunately my bed is a bit wet as I left my windows open for the breeze.
The people we got chatting to did also mention that there has been theiving on the site as her wallet was stolen from their cabin and they were less than 20 metres away. She was sure she'd locked up but couldn't be sure.
Awake at 3:54am, just had one hell of a thunderstorm. It was overhead for about 5 mins. The torrential rain was back. Not complaining though, other than the loss of power for a second, so everything beeped. The storm and rain have helped to cool things down. Andy was saying that when they came back from kangaroo island the coach said it was 20oC that was at 10:30pm.
