Been in Beijing for a couple of days now. Went on a trip to see the Great Wall today (unfortuntaely not quite as pretty as this picture as its very smoggy here). We climbed about 1600 steps ( according to the guide) to the top of the hill which was very hard work. We couldn't understand all the chinese people walking up in about 3 tops when it was at least 16degrees outside?!! Also saw the ming tombs which were good although there wasn't much to see. We seem to be quite interetsing to all the Chinese as we've been asked to appear in people's photos about 9 times now, including once today by some Iraqui business men?! Went to visit Tinanmen Square yesterday which was very good although completely full of people. Including less subtle chinese people taking photos of us withouth asking. Take care
