Hey, Happy Easter everyone. Hope you all enjoy your easter eggs. Cate and I have found some bars of cadbury's to eat tomorrow in place of actual easter eggs (so sad to be missing those) We have hot chocolate as well but its really warm here so not sure we'll want to drink it. In Kunming now in the South which is a really cool city. Alot cleaner and less busy than the others. The hostel is also v cool and has a roof garden/bar overlooking the city below. Not really any English speakers here though (mostly French and chinese?!) To a bus out ot a big lake today and walked up the hillside (not a sensible plan in flip flops - I turned my feet orange) The walk was supposed to take us via lots of temples but an hour and half later we hadn't seen a single one. We'd even followed the huge crowds of chinese people walking the same way. Sadly we gave up after nearly 2 hours and turned round. We were almost the only western people around so despite our efforts with the guide book noone could tell us where we were going. Pretty scenery but very annoying to have walked all that way and not really seen anything (not even the lake for most of it!) Taking the overnight bus (our first) on to Lijiang tomorrow.
