Can't remember the last time I wrwote a blog entry and I can't be bothered to check either!
Well Chyristmas eve was a good day! Met up with Sophie in the city and went for lunch and planned the next days antics! Then met up with another girl called Sarah who I met on the Whitsundays trip, on the evening. Went to an Irish bar, and realised they did $7 jugs of lager (3 pound 50) which had 4 schooners of beer in each (just short of a pint), we managed to polish of 5 jugs between us, so needless to say I was a little merry! Haha. Ended up watching some random karyokee (however you spell it!) that was presented by a couple of drag queens. Random! Was funny though, good night!
Got up the next morning to go straight to Sophieeee's for Christmas day! Got there at about 9.30 and they'd all been up since 4am watching the sun rise! I was a little shakey due to the beer, but all was fine in the end, after a couple more glasses of wine and a few voddies! Haha! Had Christmas dinner at about 2 - which was AMAZING! The works, turkey (which was really nice - I don't usually like turkey that much!), beef, roasted veggies, parsnips, roasties, yorkshire pud, home made gravy and brocolli mmmm - been so long since I had a proper home cooked meal, it was like I'd died and gone to heaven! I filled up! A little too much (I was still full on boxing day night!)
Then we all skipped off to the beach, and sang christmas songs haha! And lay on the beach to snooze of the big stomachs! Was a bit weird, because we were the only people on the beach in Santa hats! The beach was full, but no festive-ness! Very strange! Think it's cos we were on Maroubra beach which is more family, than if we had gone to Bondi they woulda been everywhere (I was not paying $55!). But yeah, families on the beach and stuff, but not the whole families - no grandparents or owt, dunno what they do on Christmas day!
Then we came back to the house, and were gonna watch some nice Christmas day films - but , there were none?! No Sound of Music, or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! That was a bit strange! So we played Monopoly instead, which was the British version , but the prices were in dollars!? Think they're a bit confused!
Then yeah, I dragged myself home (was gonna stay but we were going to the races the next day and I had nothing to wear!) Boxing day at the races was really good, had a very good day - I could get used to doing that on a Boxing day! Gorgeous weather, some nice (but v expensive!) drinks, and betting all my money on random horses! Haha. Managed to win about 5 out of the 9 races, but I still made a $60 loss at the end of the day - oopsy!
Was good though! Then today I've not done a lot, just had a wonder and chilled out really - I have a COLD. Boo. I think my body must know its Christmas, and knows I'm supposed to have a cold at this time of year! And the fact that I've gone from like 30,35 degree temperatures to 22 degrees, my boday doesn't like it!
That's it really I think! Oh and Santa did come! He knew where to find me - Sophie had bought me a little pressie, some bracelets, so I had something to open on Christmas day! Thats all now! x
