Day 49-50
We got to Roma Street Station in Brisbane about 45 minutes than planned and were told that our connecting coach would mean an hours wait at Nambour. It made for a long travel especially when we realised that the place was surrounded by smelly people.
When we arrived in Noosa we checked in to our hostel and picked some leaflets from the Tourist Information and then strolled along the Main Beach. Eventually we reached the point where the sea and the river met this created a swirling effect between the water and the sand. We relaxed enjoying the view before heading back to our hostel for a welcome meeting and a glass of wine. Here we were told about Australia Zoo, and we decided to go the next day.
The following day we arrived at Australia Zoo around 9am where we greeted by a baby crocoldile and the Steve Irwin memorial. We had all day to stroll around and see all the different animals, including Tazmanian Devils, Tigers and loads of crocs. We were lucky enough to feed African Elephants (several times), watch a show about koalas, turtles, camels, foxes, crocs and birds and we also stoked and even lay down beside kangaroos and wallabys.
It was a long day and we really tired and so we were disappointed to say the least to be woken at 1am by the worlds loudest snorer, Ralph. We didn't ge back to sleep at all. Al got his duvet and went and slept outside on a bench and Lorna put her Ipod on full blast and switched her light on.
