Day 48

We left the grotty hostel as early as possible and moved to a much improved one. From there we sorted out our bookings for Fraser Island and Noosa. Then we headed back into town to take a look at some of the historical landmarks.

First we looked at The Mansions, then Parliament House and then Government House before we headed into the Botanical Gardens. After sitting in the park we headed to the Old Navel Office via Eagle Street Pier for a lookout across the river.

For some reason one of us sparked a conversation about Singapore, so we headed into the CBD to a bookshop to find out a bit more. Very quickly we decided that we wanted to go on our way back home and we went straight to Qantas and booked the flights. Very decisive of us.

On our way back to hostel we walked back towards the Old Windmill and then through Wickham Park to see the gardens.
