25th Feb - We had a nice lie in and Kylie sorted out frisbees for us to play frisbee golf in the afternoon. I had no idea what to expect.. (frisbee golf? Is that even a game?!?). Hannah, Kylie, Si, Stu and I headed down to the lake where the course was and found the 1st tee. The game worked in exactly the same way as golf.. 18 holes.. a par for each hole. I kept the total of all the scores - probably the only use I had that day! We all soon came to learn that I am absolutely shocking at throwing a frisbee. Hannah was pretty good at it, leading from the start; whereas I should've just given up after the 1st hole. Frisbee throwing simply isn't my forte. We played all 18 holes. Si and Stu were getting very competitive, and were head to head for 1st place on the 18th hole. We played the hole - I came last (surprise), Kylie fourth and Hannah third. Si and Stu managed to get the same par so they had to replay the hole. They replayed the whole twice and drew again, so they moved onto another one. Despite Si's best efforts, Stu managed to finally beat his par and take 1st place.
Even though I had the most amount of fun for only $5, I think I was just glad that the game was over so I could go back and sunbathe! We took back our frisbees and got some dinner. I had sushi whilst the others pigged out on a Ferg burger. Afterwards we chilled out on the grass near our hostel in the sun with some ciders. Bliss! We headed back to the hostel. News came in that other friends still in Nomads were doing a $10 pub crawl, so they bought tickets for us to go. We had already done a pub crawl but thought we would go anyway as everyone else was. We went to some different bars this time (however we still went to ice bar), and of course ended up at good ol' World bar. Yet again! Ha!
26th Feb - Zzzzz... We all woke up late and decided to go and try our hand at mini golf. I thought.. Maybe I'll be better at mini golf than golf frisbee? Well, I was sure going to find out! We climbed up the hill to the mini golf, paid and collected our clubs. Hannah and Kylie were given the shortest clubs, of course. We started off and a few holes later I realised that whilst I may have been better at mini golf than frisbee golf, it was only marginal. I managed to get some pars but also some shocking pars of 7+. It was so much fun! I still came last, but only by 1 point so I was happy. I had upped my game from the previous day!
As it was Si's last night with us all, so we all went for a nice meal. We went back to the room to get ready to go out; I didn't feel like going out at all but I got ready anyway. When everyone was ready, I nearly didn't go out but of course I had to - it was our Si's last night; we needed to give him a good send off! We grabbed some drink and headed down to the lake for one last nights pre-lash altogether down by the lake... our favourite drinking spot. We headed to a bar we'd never been to before where there was live music playing. It was awesome!! Stu bought everyone a round of shots.. When they arrived I asked him what it was. He said tequila! Eurgh! I told him that I puke when I have tequila but he didn't believe me. We all did our tequila with the salt and lemon, and quite rightly, I spat it out before it even touched my throat and had to run to the toilet to be sick. Classy. After that occurrence, we had a good jig to all the live music! Before we headed onto World bar. It was such a good night!! I ended the night with Stu accompanied by a Ferg burger. Mmm Cajun chicken! :D
