15th Feb - We had a late departure today for once so we had breakfast and headed to the beach. The group was splitting up today :( as we were leaving Rosie and Charlotte behind! We said our goodbyes and hopped on the bus to go to Westport. So now there was just 6 of us - me, Hannah, Kylie, Si, Stu and Adam.
We drove along the amazing Buller Gorge that is NZ's river with the greatest flood discharge.
Just before we arrived in Westport, we stopped off at an adventure booking office. Si, Kylie and Ads booked to go horse riding the next morning. Me and Hannah didn't have the money, as we'd already spent so much of our budget on activities already! New Zealand may be cheap, but the activities rinse your money!
We bought food for dinner that evening which was tuna, salad and rice... Healthy again! Whats going on? We arranged to have cheese and wine on the beach with the rest of our bus, but we hadn't eaten our dinner in time so we stayed at the hostel. I wasn't complaining as we shotgunned the tv room and watched lord of the rings instead!! Boom! We had been waiting for this moment for a longggg time! Si and Hannah didn't appreciate the movie choice. Si walked out and Hannah fell asleep. However me, Kylie and Stu were in our absolute element; watching LOTR all snuggled up under a duvet with a cup of hot chocolate. And of course, a little bit of Orlando Bloom eye candy certainly went a long way!
