I have survived my first week without upsetting anyone, as far as I know. I have talked to my first big meeting, welcomed Bunthorn my VA, cooked stir fried tuna and veg, rode my Moto on the right side of the road, got chatted up by a stoned man from Sri Lanka (well he would have to be wouldn't he) and took part in the great cockroach battle of 2016.
This started as a small battle when a tiny little cockroach popped it's head out from under the large blue water tub that sits in the wet room and which I must keep full of water in the dry season! I dealt with the invader and felt proud that I hadn't immediately run to the nearest 5 star hotel. However that was only the beginning last night daddy cockroach stuck his head out of their comfy home under the large blue water tub ...... Again I dealt with him but felt I had to deal with their comfy home as well. This morning I put on my armour (walking boots) and bravely went into battle. I tentavely lifted the large blue water tub and you would not believe what I saw, an absolutely clean floor. I think they were Japanese cockroaches who came in with that washing machine

Chris & Rog Reminds me of my nurse training days chasing cockroaches in the nurses home. Debbie was petrified of them so every eve I could be found searching her room for the little blighters before she could turn out her lights. We had a heavy boot for dispatching the little critters. Sounds like you are having fun & the social life looks interesting, wonder if you will meet Mr Sri Lanka when he is sober
Sue You seem to have done so much in one week, Liz. Air con at work sounds great and necessary. Hope you have now defeated the cockroaches for a while. Sue
Chris H Well done you, I'm not keen on any creepy crawleys! Sounds like your enjoying life and getting stuck in. Fingers crossed the next time your chatted up the guy will be sober, lol. Look after yourself.
