Well I now have a Moto. It arrived at my landlord's restaurant having been delivered to his phone number (that's how it is done) I may never know my address, I will just have to be a number.
I also have a washing machine, a Japanese washing machine. My Khmer is very limited but my Japanese is non existent so trying to empty the machine of water (it was full when delivered) was a challenge. I did my best ie I plugged it in, pressed every button, kicked it and asked it politely to start but no luck it remained unresponsive. I called in my great landlord (who does not read Japanese) who brought along his even lovelier waiter who speaks English but not Japanese. They worked it out, emptied it, told me which 3 buttons to press and left. I then opened the lid - I think all I will say is the water must have been there for quite a while!! It is now clean and ready for my first wash, my work clothes may still go to the laundrette!!

Chris & Rog Obviously Japanese equipment does not respond to our subtle English manners. A good kick would normally work! Sounds like you are settling in well and what more could you ask for than a good looking English speaking waiter. Xx
