Order what you want, enjoy what you get describes Cambodia. Yesterday I went back to the cafe in the photo. I have been there several time before and confidently ordered omelette and iced coffee. I got fried egg and hot coffee. I did ask for tok kuk (ice) but just ate the eggs which were absolutely great. So in the end I enjoyed what I got.
Congress is over and I am now enjoying a weekend in the big city so this morning it will be a swim and relaxation. This evening I will be saying goodbye to Vickie as her time in Cambodia has come to an end.

Chris & Rog That sounds like us last year when we went to Santiago in the north west of Spain. Our Spanish is pretty good for understanding & ordering food in the Alicante area BUT in Santiago they speak Galician Spanish, some is similar to the south but true rest is totally different both spoken & written. We had great fun ordering food in the local bar that spoke no English, we would think we had it sussed & then when the food arrived it would be completely different than expected. We even had tripe stew, the stew was yummy the trip was like chewing rubber! It is fun as long as you are not a fussy eater.
