Kep is a little town on the coast.
We started the day by walking into the national park and getting drenched. Trees are not what they used to be - standing under them will not keep you dry!! Eventually we decided we should just walk back down the track to the beach. About 50 yards from where we had been standing under the aforementioned trees we saw a sign saying River Valley Resort - green tea and dryness, what more can a couple of girls want.
When the tea and rain were things of the past we left and walked down to the beach. At the moment it is holiday time for the Cambodians so Kep was busy. It seems you can hire mats under a tarpaulin all along the beach to sit, eat and socialise. There were also families or groups eating their picnics everywhere, elsewhere along the sea front but also away from the coast.
We walked along the coast to the crab market. The wind was very strong at one time so by the time we arrived at the market, we were well and truely blown dry. The market was great, not only were the fish, squid, prawns and crabs for sale they were being cooked in several different ways. The smell was just fabulous and it made us hungry, so we found a crab restaurant and ate crab and prawns.
