Hello everyone! The last two days we have had beautiful sunny skies, but UNBEARABLE heat! The kids are running out of their own money and are looking for things to do. I am happy to sit on the beach and shop everyday. Saturday we hung out at the beach down by the barge. We finally procured two surfboards and two boogie boards. The first board Jon ¨rented¨ broke 3 times so he brought it back. The barge (an old rusty beached barg) is just down the beach from our place and it's easy surf but also near the bridge (where the hookers hang out) and where all the local kids like to surf. Two little boys (about 5 years old) who's mama works in the grocery store across the street were swimming naked in the water and climbing through the rusty holes in the barge. They also thought they could just take everyone's boards and play with them. They were very cute and funny. I would post pics, but I don't want to get arrested for child pornography. Jon rode his bike to Cocles to surf and had a successful session.

Last night we had a fabulous dinner at the Italian restaurant behind Kaya's place. I WOULD post pics, however, it seems my camera is not functioning. I will probably borrow Phoebe's for the rest of my trip and send mine home with Jon and the kids.

Today we want to rent bikes again and go to Punta Uva beach. We heard there are a lot of monkeys there. Hopefully we won't die of heat exhaustion in the process.
