I just wanted to make a quick post to let you know that I am safe and well in Salvador. I have been very busy and have visited so many interesting places. The big trip is almost here! Jon, the kids and I will fly into San Jose on the 22nd of June and spend the night in the city. In the morning we'll travel about 4.5 hours by bus to Arenal to take in the rainforest and volcano for a few days. From Arenal we will travel toward the Carribean coast to Puerto Viejo....again on the bus. (Glamorous?...no...but much safer.) In PV we'll stay at Kaya's Place http://www.kayasplace.com/ where we'll eat banana pancakes, surf…

On July 7, Jon and the kids will return home and I will be moving on to Brazil for two weeks. My plans are rather sketchy at this point, but I promise to keep you updated via this website. I can't wait to see you. I miss you. Things are not the same in Holland without you. John is great. Can't believe that we are still together. He is a wonderful guy and has captivated my heart, hard to believe it isn't it??? Can't wait to hear about all of your adventures. My summer has been wonderful. I was at Hunting Island for a week and then have not accomplished one thing at home the whole summer. I have NOT been at school at all.....not for one minute. I have seen Kel. Little Lesa, Marcia. Shari and Macie. That's it. Life is grand. I talk to Rachel at least once a week and maybe a couple days in a row. She really misses you. I love her. She needs you for the wedding. It's been a few days since an update! Hope the trip home was good for Jon and the kids, and your trip to Brazil was too. Stay safe and update soon!
